Stop treating this as a Netanyahu story. Stop treating it as a quirky mayoral overreach story. What Zohran Mamdani said on camera this week is a direct statement of his governing philosophy — and every American needs to understand what it means.
Asked whether he believes laws from international bodies override U.S. law, Mamdani essentially said yes. He wants America to join the International Criminal Court. He wants America to execute ICC warrants — including, explicitly, the warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu. He declared America’s military operations against Iran a violation of “international law.” He invoked “international law” to blame New York Jews for antisemitic protests outside a synagogue that hosted a group helping people immigrate to Israel.
The pattern is not subtle. Mamdani deploys “international law” as a weapon — selectively, consistently, and always in the same direction. Against Israel. Against America. Against the removal of socialist dictators. In favor of the ICC, an institution the United States has never joined, whose chief prosecutor is under investigation for sexual misconduct, and whose warrants carry precisely zero legal weight on American soil.
What he never invokes international law against: Hamas, which massacred 1,200 people and took hundreds hostage. Hezbollah, which has killed Americans and Israelis for four decades. Venezuela’s Maduro, whose removal he declared illegal — meaning Mamdani sided with the socialist dictator over the Venezuelan people trying to be free of him.
All part of the same commie pattern of destroying our country as founded and rebuilding an authoritarian nightmare on the rubble.
When pressed about Maduro’s ICC warrant — because Maduro himself is the subject of an ICC arrest warrant for crimes against humanity — Mamdani’s answer was revealing. He described Maduro as a dictator but said what matters is the “process” by which governments change. Translation: the ICC warrant Mamdani cites to justify arresting Netanyahu is an ICC warrant he declines to cite when it applies to a socialist ally:
I would say that the International Criminal Court is a body that seeks to hold those across the world accountable for crimes against humanity, for war crimes, for things of that nature. And I think the United States should not only be a party to that court but should also execute the warrants that that court issues. And what I have spoken up about Nicolas Maduro, who I’ve also described appropriately as a dictator, is that the violation of international law is one that has to also be taken very seriously. It stems from the same belief in the International Criminal Court. And now he’s here in New York City, on that day when the United States did violate international law, I made clear that I was in opposition to that. And it all stems from the same belief in how can there be a sanctity in something beyond an understand of the world where might is right?
What BS.
This is not principled international law advocacy. It is political theater that uses the language of international norms to advance an anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-socialist agenda — dressed up in enough legal vocabulary to confuse people who don’t look too closely.
Dave Rubin said it plainly: every Democrat will be taking this position by 2028. He’s probably right. What starts as Mamdani’s fringe mayoralty in New York City has a way of becoming mainstream Democratic orthodoxy within an election cycle.
The oath of office Mamdani took requires him to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Not the Rome Statute. Not the UN Charter. Not whatever Karim Khan’s investigation-plagued prosecutorial office decides to prioritize this week. The Constitution of the United States — the document that explicitly places federal law supreme over all other authority operating within this country’s borders.
Mamdani thinks something else is supreme. He said so on camera.

That should terrify every American who gives a damn about the First Amendment.
Kimmel says that, to protect ABC affiliates — particularly stations in Texas that would “have to deal with this nonsense” — the Talarico interview will not be broadcast on television at all. Instead, Americans who want to hear from a candidate for the United States Senate will have to watch it on YouTube.
And then Kimmel delivered the line that should set off alarm bells across this country: “And thank goodness, we have [YouTube] because in the America we live in right now, that is the best that we can do, until November, of course.”
This is censorship through government intimidation.
And the hypocrisy is staggering. As Kimmel pointed out, Trump happily appeared on his show while running for president in 2015 and returned again in 2016.
When Trump benefited from television hosts interviewing candidates, apparently there was no problem. Now that a Democrat challenging Republicans for a Senate seat is getting airtime, Trump’s FCC is pressuring ABC to pull the plug.
That is profoundly un-American.
No president — Republican or Democrat — should be allowed to weaponize federal regulatory power to frighten television stations over their editorial decisions or political guests.
Trump does not own ABC. He does not own America’s airwaves. And he sure as hell does not get to decide which political candidates the American people are allowed to hear from.
