Adrian could have protected himself.
His lawyers told him so.
He had not personally managed Harbor Point.
He had not approved the delayed equipment.
He had not met Derek.
He could separate himself from everything and let former executives carry the responsibility.
He refused.
He provided the recovered records to the appropriate investigators and announced a complete independent review of Whitmore Infrastructure’s past safety practices.
Several senior managers were suspended while the review continued.
Russell Vance left the company.
Old claims were reopened.
Families who had spent years believing nobody would listen suddenly received calls.
Adrian also made a public admission that surprised everyone.
“I may not have made these decisions personally, but I benefited from a system I never bothered to question. That responsibility belongs to me too.”
His mother refused to speak to him for weeks.
Several investors walked away.
Two major projects were delayed.
The company’s value dropped.
