“I hear you,” I said.
I wasn’t ready to say anything more.
Daniel dropped heavily into a chair.
“I still need to understand what is happening in our family.”
Macy wiped her face.
“So do I.”
They both looked toward me.
I shook my head.
“I will not solve your marriage for you.”
Neither of them answered.
“But I will tell you what affects me. I came here as a guest, not emergency childcare. I will spend time with my grandchildren because I choose to, not because someone assigns them to me.”
