What Happened in Part 1:
Three weeks after marrying Meredith, widowed father Daniel Harper learned during a family dinner that his four-year-old daughter, Lily, was terrified of her new stepmother. Lily revealed that Meredith had taken away her stuffed rabbit, hidden a photograph of Lily’s late mother, locked her inside the laundry room, and told her that her mother had died because of her. Security footage confirmed Lily’s account, showing Meredith treating the child very differently whenever Daniel was away. The discovery became even more disturbing when Lily revealed a hidden camera inside her bedroom, followed by two more devices found elsewhere in the house. Detective Marissa Cole discovered that the bedroom camera had been installed eleven months earlier—long before Daniel proposed to Meredith.
