Chapter 4: The Strike of Justice and the Fall of the Titan

Elena closed the remaining distance between them in a flash of emerald silk. All the restraint, all the diplomatic patience, all the quiet suffering of the past two years converged into a single, kinetic point of impact.
With the full torque of her body and the unyielding fury of a mother defending her cub, Elena unleashed a devastating, right-handed punch.
Bam.
The sound of knuckles connecting squarely against Julian Vance’s jaw sounded like a gunshot echoing through a canyon. The sheer kinetic force of the blow snapped Julian’s head backward with violent velocity, shattering his arrogant smirk and sending a shower of spittle and sweat flying through the air under the brilliant glare of the crystal chandeliers.
Julian didn't just stumble; his legs gave out completely beneath him. The invincible billionaire, the titan of Wall Street, let out a high-pitched, agonizing shriek of pure, unadulterated pain—a sound so pathetic and raw that it bore no resemblance to the man who had strutted across the room minutes earlier.
“Ahhh!” Julian screamed, clutching his shattered jaw as he spun awkwardly through the air before collapsing hard onto his hands and knees directly onto the polished black-bordered marble floor.
A collective gasp of horror erupted from the surrounding guests. Several women shrieked, covering their mouths in utter disbelief, while powerful CEOs and board members stared in paralyzed shock, unable to comprehend the sight of the mighty Julian Vance grovelling in the dirt like a beaten dog.
Julian knelt there on all fours, gasping for air, blood pooling in his mouth from a split lip and a fractured jawbone. His immaculate brown hair was disheveled, falling across his forehead in sweaty clumps, and his pinstriped tuxedo jacket was stained with scuff marks from the marble tiles. He rocked back and forth on his hands and knees, whimpering in agonizing pain, utterly incapacitated by a blow that had shattered his physical pride along with his jaw.
Elena stood over him, her chest heaving heavily beneath the emerald green silk, her breathing deep and rhythmic. She didn't flinch, she didn't apologize, and she didn't look away. She simply stared down at the grovelling man who had dared to lay a hand on her child, her dark eyes burning with an intense, uncompromising fire that could have melted steel.

The silence in the grand ballroom was absolute. Even the crystal pendants overhead seemed to stop vibrating.
Slowly, Elena leaned downward, invading Julian’s field of vision as he whimpered on the floor. Her voice dropped into a low, terrifyingly calm register that carried across the cavernous hall with the force of a death sentence.
