I submitted my genuine information directly to the insurance office. I confirmed that the disputed release hadn’t been authorized by me and asked that no future instructions concerning Noah’s claim be accepted through Ashley.

The office kept the matter under review rather than acting on the disputed deposit request. Eventually, I received confirmation that the old instructions were void and that any funds properly due to Noah would be handled through information verified with me.

I didn’t invent a punishment for Ashley beyond that process.

I didn’t need to.
