Chapter 8 - Turning the Tables
The problem with framing a tech billionaire was that you were dealing with a man whose entire empire was built on data, surveillance, and cybersecurity.
Alexander didn't just have cameras in the hallways; he had state-of-the-art motion sensors, encrypted digital locks, and AI-driven facial recognition software tracking every micro-movement on his property.
Within two hours, Alexander and his security team were sitting in the subterranean control room of the estate.
"There," the security chief pointed at the screen.
At 3:14 AM, a figure dressed in all black slipped through the garden door. But the facial recognition software was ruthless. It stripped away the darkness, enhancing the image until the face of Marcus, Victoria's private investigator, was crystal clear.
"Pull the logs on how he bypassed the perimeter," Alexander ordered.
The chief typed furiously. "An access code was used. A guest code. Specifically, the code assigned to Ms. Victoria Kensington before her departure. It was never deactivated."
Alexander’s eyes burned with a cold, terrifying fire. Victoria had tried to frame the mother of his child. She had tried to put Elena in prison.
"Get me the CEO of the telecommunications company that services Victoria's phone," Alexander said, picking up his cell phone. "I want every text message, every bank transfer, every location ping between her and this man for the last month. I don't care what it costs. Do it."
Upstairs, Elena was sitting on the edge of the bed, weeping silently. The fear of losing Lily, of being thrown into a prison cell, was paralyzing.
The door opened, and Alexander walked in. He didn't say a word. He just walked over, pulled her into his chest, and held her as she cried.
"It's over," he whispered into her hair. "I have the proof. I know it was Victoria. I know she hired someone."
