Chapter 15 - The End

The golden light of the Louisiana sunset painted the New Orleans skyline in breathtaking hues of amber, violet, and deep crimson.
High above the Garden District, the grand iron gates of the Vance estate stood open—not as a sign of vulnerability, but as a declaration of absolute strength, peace, and sovereignty.
Inside the private courtyard garden, surrounded by blooming white jasmine and murmuring fountains, a quiet celebration was underway. Close allies, trusted advisors, and loyal union workers gathered to toast a new era of prosperity and justice along the Gulf Coast.
Leo stood near the marble fountain, laughing heartily as he raised a crystal flute of vintage champagne in a toast to the future.
A few paces away, standing beneath the sprawling branches of an ancient live oak draped in Spanish moss, Julian and I stood side by side, looking out over the peaceful river beyond the estate walls.
Julian slipped his arm securely around my waist, pulling me close against his chest. I rested my head against his shoulder, feeling the steady, powerful beat of his heart beneath his tailored suit.
The dark days of betrayal, deceit, and danger were finally behind us. In their place stood a future forged in steel, anchored by unbreakable loyalty, and bound by a fierce, enduring love.
“Ready for what comes next, Elena?” Julian whispered, his lips brushing softly against my hair.
I smiled, looking toward the bright horizon where the river met the sea.

“Always, Julian,” I replied softly.
