Chapter 10 - THE BOSS'S LADY

Lena stared at the diamond, her breath catching in her throat.
"Victor, I..." she started, unable to find the words.
"You know who I am, and you know the world I live in," Victor said seriously.
"It is dangerous, and it is violent."
"But you didn't flinch when the guns fired, and you didn't run when things got dark."
"You are the only person I trust with my life."
"Stay with me, Lena. Rule by my side."
Lena looked from the ring to the man who had completely changed her destiny.
She remembered the fear of poverty, the smell of bleach in the hotel, the constant struggle to survive.
That girl was gone, replaced by someone stronger, forged in the fire of Victor's world.
"Yes," Lena finally said, a confident smile spreading across her face.
Victor slipped the ring onto her finger, sealing her place as the queen of his empire.
Six months later, they returned to the Grandeur Hotel.
This time, Lena was not wearing a cheap black vest or holding a serving tray.
She wore a stunning red gown, her hand resting firmly on the arm of Victor Romano.
As they walked into the ballroom, the crowd parted in awe and fear.

She was no longer the poor maid trying to survive.
