"Arrest her," Mrs. Dawson demanded from the doorway. "It's a clear-cut case of theft." Alexander stepped between the police and Sarah. "Nobody is getting arrested," he stated with absolute authority. "This is a setup." The police captain looked uneasy. "Mr. Sterling, the evidence is in her room." "And I am telling you, as the owner of the necklace, that no charges will be pressed while I conduct my own internal review," Alexander countered fiercely. He sent the police away and locked down the estate. He knew Sarah’s character; she would never steal. He also knew Mrs. Dawson’s vindictiveness. Alexander spent the night reviewing security footage, examining access logs, and looking for any anomaly. He was not just a businessman; he was a man who protected his own, and Sarah and Veneta had quietly become his own.
