Chapter 9 - The Celebration

Two months later.
Winter had arrived in New York, dusting the Bellucci estate in a pristine coat of white snow. The large glass windows of the grand dining room looked out over the snow-covered gardens, while a massive fireplace roared in the hearth, filling the room with comforting warmth and the scent of pine.
Tonight was a special occasion—the annual Bellucci winter celebration. However, unlike previous years, the guest list was strictly limited to trusted family friends, loyal business partners, and close associates.
The long mahogany table was dressed in red satin, gold candles, and fine porcelain.
At the head of the table sat Damian Bellucci, looking handsome and formidable in a fitted charcoal suit.
Seated directly to his right—in the exact chair where she had sat weeks prior—was little Lily Cole. She wore a festive dark green velvet dress with white lace trim, her hair styled in soft curls. She was happily eating a chocolate dessert, completely unbothered by the formal setting.
To Damian's left sat Nora, dressed in an elegant navy evening gown, carrying herself with effortless poise and confidence as the estate manager.
The atmosphere in the room was joyful, relaxed, and filled with genuine laughter. The dark shadows of espionage, betrayal, and fear that had once loomed over the estate were entirely gone.
Marcus stepped up to the table, raising a glass of sparkling cider toward the head of the table.
"A toast," Marcus announced, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. "To the Bellucci family. To strength, loyalty, and the people who keep us grounded."
"To the family!" the guests cheered in unison, raising their glasses.

Damian raised his crystal glass, his dark eyes sweeping over the table before landing on Lily and Nora. He reached out, gently patting Lily’s shoulder.
"To loyalty," Damian murmured softly.
